Šibenik, the proud city with rich cultural heritage

Like the other parts of Dalmatia, Šibenik is rich in cultural monuments from prehistoric times to today. The most famous and valuable cultural monument in Šibenik is the UNESCO-protected cathedral. The old town is still surrounded by ancient fortifications. Šibenik is located amphitheatrically on hill slopes. The harmonious urban development of the city expresses the connection of the old part with steep narrow streets with the newer modern district.
